Mono Mondays: Dreamscape
Share
On Mondays, we like to support our resident artist, Mono! They're an up-and-coming scribbler of things dark and weird, and we consider ourselves lucky to have leeched onto— er, formed a mutually beneficial relationship with them. You can watch Mono hard at work creating various pieces on their YouTube channel. For those who don't feel like watching digital paint getting splashed around, we'll be showcasing a different piece of theirs right here every Monday.
This week, we're looking at something just a little ominous.

Mono reports that this particular view is the result of a dream. "The world curved in weird ways. After I fell off a cliff, I looked up at these figures. The perspective was funky since I was lying in the grass, but it looked like I was standing." The dreamscape was a bit more fragmentary than shown here, with crystals, caverns, and mysterious humanoids such as the three at the top of the cliff. Above it all, "the trees seemed to fade behind a red sky."
We don't know about you, but the disturbing part isn't the concave curvature or the strange emphasis on the sky. It's the part where the humanoids aren't actually very... human.
