Mono Mondays: Physical Art, Part Two

Mono Mondays: Physical Art, Part Two

On Mondays, we like to support our resident artist, Mono!  They're an up-and-coming scribbler of things dark and weird, and we consider ourselves lucky to have leeched onto— er, formed a mutually beneficial relationship with them.  You can watch Mono hard at work creating various pieces on their YouTube channel.  For those who don't feel like watching digital paint getting splashed around, we'll be showcasing a different piece of theirs right here every Monday.

This week, we're showing the second of two pieces made in the same fashion.

This particular piece features, depending on your perspective, either a small dragon on a smaller orb (a pearl, perhaps) or a very large dragon on an only slightly smaller world.  Either way, the dragon seems quite pleased with itself.  So was Mono, who noted that there were several small mistakes, but also several wins, such as the detail on the orb.  "The small detail design took for-freaking-ever!" they proclaimed, adding that they loved the way the smoke turned out almost as much.

For those who celebrate holidays in the coming week, we wish them to be very happy.  May you find yourself a dragon to guard your pearls.  Barring that, here's hoping the big dragon grasping the world doesn't rest their grip on your house.
