Mono Mondays: Silhouette

Mono Mondays: Silhouette

On Mondays, we like to support our resident artist, Mono!  They're an up-and-coming scribbler of things dark and weird, and we consider ourselves lucky to have leeched onto— er, formed a mutually beneficial relationship with them.  You can watch Mono hard at work creating various pieces on their YouTube channel.  For those who don't feel like watching digital paint getting splashed around, we'll be showcasing a different piece of theirs right here every Monday.

This Monday, we're showing off one of Mono's works that ended up in the discard pile.

"This is too much!"  Mono explained.  Originally, this was going to form the background of a dark figure flying through layers of clouds, but "honestly, this reminds me of a detailed scene [out of an anime] where the main character blows a hole in the atmosphere."

To be fair, a picture of a hole being blown through the atmosphere sounds pretty interesting.  But if that wasn't what they were going for, one can understand why this particular work didn't make the cut.  This goes to show that nobody is perfect, even random artists who live on the internet.

Of course, some of us (ahem) are more perfect than others...
