Mono Mondays: Under the Sea
Share
On Mondays, we like to support our resident artist, Mono! They're an up-and-coming scribbler of things dark and weird, and we consider ourselves lucky to have leeched onto— er, formed a mutually beneficial relationship with them. You can watch Mono hard at work creating various pieces on their YouTube channel. For those who don't feel like watching digital paint getting splashed around, we'll be showcasing a different piece of theirs right here every Monday.
This week, Mono continues the top-down artwork. This time, however, we're looking under the water.

The inspiration for these undersea critters comes from a combination of cats, axolotls, and koi. The results have whisker-like tendrils and familiar coloring for those who've been around a pond or two. They also have a sleek form with hints of a feline body.
Asked what these sorts of animals would be good for, Mono shrugged. "Besides drawing practice? I dunno... pets, maybe?"
